So I am officially taking my maternity leave! I will be using this time to write & build up a serious buffer for Book 3, along with making sure I’ve got enough time to rest and eat and bring my little baby Thunder Lizard into the world.

Jonah’s e.t.a. is March 15 (beware the ides of March!), but since babies have a way of coming when they decide they’re good and ready and not when the doctors say they should, I don’t want to plan around that date too much. My plan is to debut Scene Language Book #3 on Monday, April 7, 2008.

I know that’s a long time, but it made more sense to me to take one long break, than to take a short break and then have to take another one right away. I’ll be updating with Guest Strips & other cool bonus content each Monday from now until then. If you are a comic-making person and you want to do a guest strip, please drop me an email so I can thank you and kiss your butt.

Book Three is going to have some awesome things happening, so you won’t want to miss it! Thank you all for reading and we’ll see you very very soon!

Woooooo!!

I got a box of shirts today!  They look even more amazing than I could have possibly hoped.  I’m so happy with them.  Brunetto did an amazing job, and the shirts are super soft, sexy cut.   Until I figure out a new solution, you can still order them here, if you missed out and still want one.  Woooooo!  As soon as I get my books, I will ship these babies out to all of the preorders.  I’m expecting the books by the end of next week, at the latest.

So the forums are back and completely restored due to my personal heroes at DreamHost.  Previous to Dreamhost I had been using the host from hell, so anyone would be better than they were, but DreamHost is consistantly awesome.  They also fixed a couple of other problems I was having, so I am stoked.

You Know What To Do:

Hey dudes, I wanted to let you know where everything is as far as the merchandise preorders.  Everything has been ordered and is out of my hands at this point.  I expect both the shirts and the books to arrive within the next two weeks.  (But cross your fingers for me just in case.)  When I get them, I will send them out within a couple of days.  (I’ll keep you updated.)

Just to keep things organized in my head, if you won a Scene Language contest during the hiatus, those will be shipped out at the same time.

If you missed out and want to order merchandise now, please feel free to do so through the pre-orders page.  (and for the time being, you can still get free shipping.)  Once I actually have everything in my hands, I will move those to the Young American Comics store officially.
