About the Artist

Corey Marie Parkhill is the artist and writer behind Scene Language. She grew up in a small town in Michigan, and now lives in Richmond, Virginia. She likes long drives and longer conversations with her husband, Tod, who is her best friend, favorite companion and constant inspiration. She works from home, doing freelance writing and illustration, as well as taking care of her son Jonah. Corey Marie likes antique & thrift stores, baking, photobooths, comic books, making out, mix cds, sleeping in, taking photos, vespas, video games, chocolate and wine.
