Q and A
Q. Hey, aren’t you..
A. Corey Marie Parkhill. Formerly Kitley. (I got married.) I used to do a comic strip called Life’s So Rad, and before that Common Grounds and Sit and Spin. It’s been a while but I’m back to give it another go.
Q. Why did you take Life’s So Rad off of the Internet?
A. It was a decision that I made, and one I will continue to keep. If you’d like to read the Life’s So Rad archives, you can purchase the anthology at Young American Comics. It is no longer available for free on the Internet.
Q. What about Scene Language? Will it always be free?
A. I haven’t made that decision yet. For now, Scene Language will be free. There are several successful web comics who charge money to view the entire archives but allow you to read the latest comic for free. If I decide to do anything like this I will let you know. Please do not take this as a sign that you should save all of the comics to your hard drive. I am hereby, specifically asking you not to do that. Just so we’re clear.
Q. Is Scene Language autobiographical?
A. Nope. Charlie, Kate, Isaac and Garrett were originally loosely based upon Corey, Sarah, Justin and Jack as a follow-up to Life’s So Rad, but in the 3+ years after Life’s So Rad ended, they grew as characters and have changed quite a bit since. However, much of the stories that will take place will be based on true stories.
Q. How can I get in touch with you?
A. You may email me at coreymarie@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you.
Q. Can I add you on myspace?
A. Sure. I would love that! But send me a myspace message at the same time so I know that you’re a real person and not a porno-bot. If I don’t get a message from you, I probably won’t add you. (And don’t forget to add Scene Language, too!)
